MISSIONS OPPORTUNITIES IN GHANA
Ghana, formally called Gold Coast is the second-most populous country in West Africa with Accra as the capital city. Ghana borders Cote d’Ivoire to the west, Burkina Faso to the north, Togo to the east and the Gulf of Guinea to the south. With population of about 34.8 million people, about 71% of the population is Christian, Muslims make up 18% and the members of other religious groups or no religious beliefs make up the remaining 11% (2021 Census).
Most of the Christians are located in the southern parts of the country while most of the Muslims are in the Northern parts of the country. Despite having large Christian population, many are nominal. Against the wrong doctrines and teaching that have infiltrated the church, there are needs for discipleship, sound and balanced teachings, missions awareness and sensitization among the Christians in Ghana.
Out of the 111 people groups in Ghana, 19 are unreached (Joshua Project). The majority of the unreached people groups in Ghana are located in the northern regions of the country – Savanna, Northern, North-East, Upper-West and Upper East. According to the Ghana Evangelism Committee (GEC) report: only 4% of churches, 3% of full-time Christian workers and less than 2% of church finances serve northern and alien peoples.
By the grace of God, TKP West Africa Office is based in Tamale, the capital city of the Northern Region where we are working among the Dagombas and other unreached people groups in Northern Ghana, winning souls, raising disciples for our Lord Jesus Christ and mobilizing the body of Christ in Ghana for missions.
In TKP we believe in synergy of the body of Christ to finishing the assignment of the Great Commission.
We, there invite you to Get Connected with us today.
Together, we shall enthrone Christ upon the nations of the earth!
